Overview

An AI Agent in Crystal Desk is a special assignee type — configured on a stage exactly the way a human role would be, and eligible to be routed a stage instance by the assignment engine just like any user.

Same form, same timeline, same revision system

The core design principle behind AI Agents is that they don't get a shortcut path. When an agent completes a stage, it submits through the exact same completion form a human assignee would, and its output is stored, versioned, and displayed through the same revision system described in Revisions & History. A reviewer looking at an AI-drafted script sees it exactly the way they'd see a colleague's draft — same fields, same layout, same ability to approve or reject with a reason.

This matters because it means adding an AI Agent to a stage never requires redesigning the workflow around it, and it means the human-in-the-loop boundary — AI drafts, a person approves — is enforced by the structure of the workflow itself, not by a policy someone has to remember to follow.

Available agent types

• Script Drafter — writes a first-draft script from a brief and brand context.
• Reviewer Agent — checks a submission's tone, brand alignment, and duration fit before a human reviewer sees it.
• QC Agent — checks an audio or video file for duration accuracy, clarity, silence, and clipping.
• Brief Extractor — reads an uploaded deck or document and pre-fills relevant ticket fields automatically.
