Why we built this
Crystal Desk began with a radio production workflow, not a whiteboard idea. We watched a creative team manage script revisions through WhatsApp groups — "v4_FINAL_reallyfinal.mp3" was a real filename — while deadlines slipped and nobody could say for certain who was supposed to be doing what.
The tools that existed were either too generic — a Kanban board with no concept of approval chains, skill matching, or revision history — or too rigid, built for software teams and awkward to bend toward creative production.
